We currently use a hybred commercial laying breed. They are the most efficient in converting their food into eggs. We move our chickens every 2 days for the health of our birds and health of the soil. We keep chickens for:

• Eggs

• Meat

• Clearing ground for the annual vegetables

• Fertilising areas

• Providing the project with a small income source by selling eggs
