Pigs

Managlitza pigs

We plan to incorporate the pigs into our system in year 2 or 3. They will be used for:

• Clearing areas on stubborn unwanted plants such as brambles by digging out the roots. 

• Turning our tree nuts and fruits such as acorns into nutritious protein.

• Disturbing soil to get the dormant seed bank to regrow. We hope to see native grasses come back to the farm.

• Keeping areas of shrub in check.
